Hi there Jim!

Congratulations on your new business in Indiana. Of course when we have something that we’ve worked so hard for – we want to protect it, right? The same goes with your business. Your business, or your store faces a lot of risks. These can be damages caused by fire, lawsuits filed by clients, medical bills in case a customer has an accident, loss from theft and such. These events can come unexpectedly, and if you’re caught off guard, you can end up applying for the damages from your own pocket.

This is why it’s important to have commercial insurance there because it protects your business from possible damage and losses. Now here are some types of commercial insurance policies: property coverage, liability coverage and worker’s compensation coverage.

Property coverage, from the name itself, protects the property. It covers losses from fire, natural disasters and theft. Liability coverage pays out for your liabilities. This includes medical bills, legal fees and such in case a client meets an accident on your premises, or decides to sue you for whatever reason. Worker’s compensation coverage is also great, specially if your business is hazardous to your workers (like construction). This pays for possible injuries that your workers might have while working for you.

There is a lot more commercial insurance coverage in Indiana that is specially designed for particular businesses. You can speak to your local commercial insurance agent in Indiana about that matter. Or you can start shopping online too! Just type in your zip code on the relevant space on this page.
